Algo is a registered Zoom Partner, producing a suite of Zoom phone certified hardware to deliver audible and visual alerting that operates natively with Zoom One.  

Algo’s suite of Zoom-compatible devices includes IP Speakers, Intercoms, Visual Alerters (strobe lights), Paging Adapters, and Displays. Algo seamlessly delivers communication across Zoom ecosystems, scaling any size building or enterprise. 

When deployed with Zoom One Phone, Algo endpoints deliver critical premise-based communication. Deploying Algo within Zoom Environment

Algo IP Endpoints have been tested and certified for interoperability within the Zoom platform. To deploy Algo devices within Zoom One, users require the following: 

  • Access to Algo’s web interface 
  • Access to the Zoom Portal 
  • Running Firmware v3.2.3 or higher 
  • Device certificate installed

How to Deploy Zoom with Algo

Adding Algo to Zoom Web Portal 

As third-party SIP devices, Algo IP Endpoints can register in Zoom as Zoom phone certified hardware. Most Algo devices support TLS and SRTP for session and media encryption. While some exceptions apply, Algo devices supporting these encryptions are compatible with Zoom Phones. 

Adding Algo devices to the Zoom Web Portal is simple. Users can register Algo IP Endpoints to Zoom Phone by creating a new common area phone in the Zoom Web Portal. Once added, users need to add the Zoom Provisioning URL to the Algo Device Web Interface. Users can then apply SIP extensions to the Algo devices added to operate as part of the Zoom cloud paging system. 

When adding an Algo device to the Zoom Web Portal, users need to input the following Device Type fields: 

  • Brand: Algo 
  • Model: algo-sip-based-device

Leveraging Multicast & SIP Registration 

Algo IP Endpoints support Zoom Group Page. This enables seamless voice paging and emergency alerting between Algo IP Endpoints and compatible Zoom phones. Leveraging multicast, as few as a single Algo device requires a SIP registration in Zoom. The other Algo endpoints can be configured as multicast receivers. Algo IP Endpoints are designed to work harmoniously with Zoom phones, providing extended communication reach through multicast capabilities.
